Adani Power's 1,600 MW Godda Thermal Power Plant is Finally Operational to Meet the Nation's Growing Power Demands
The Godda Plant, run by Adani Power Limited, has finally become fully functional. It is a critical technology plant which supplies power to different areas of Bangladesh. It is one of the biggest projects of Adani Power Jharkhand Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Power Limited and a part of the diversified Adani Group. The Power Plant started operating on 26 June 2023 at the Godda district in Jharkhand. All the reliability tests on the 2nd Unit of Adani Godda were completed on 25 June in the presence of Power Grid Corporation of Bangladesh and BPDB on 6 April 2023. The 1st Unit of the Power Plant has also started functioning. It has a capacity of 800MW.
